COLOMBO (News 1st): Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena directed the Director of the National Hospital in Colombo to submit a report on the health condition of former State Intelligence Service (SIS) Director Suresh Salley, including whether he requires further inpatient treatment at the hospital.

The order was issued after considering a request made before Court by State Counsel Oswald Perera, who appeared on behalf of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Former State Intelligence Service Director Suresh Salley is currently being held under a 90-day detention order.

This marks the third occasion on which a 90-day detention order has been obtained in relation to the ongoing investigation.

Suresh Salley was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department on February 25 in connection with investigations being conducted into the 2019 Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.
