Three Killed, Including 7-Year-Old Girl, in Delgoda Road Accident

COLOMBO(News 1st): Three people, including a seven-year-old girl, have died in a road accident in Delgoda, along the New Kandy Road, Meegahawatta. 

Police said three others were injured in the accident, which occurred when a three-wheeler travelling from Biyagama towards Delgoda collided with a car travelling in the opposite direction.

The deceased have been identified as a 69-year-old three-wheeler driver, a 39-year-old woman, and a seven-year-old girl, all of whom were travelling in the three-wheeler.

They sustained serious injuries in the collision and later succumbed to their injuries after being admitted to Udupila Hospital.

The driver of the car has been arrested.
