Gammadda Brings Hope to Vijayaba Primary School with New Library

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A new chapter in learning begins today for the students of Vijayaba Primary School in the Mulatiyana Education Division of the Matara District, as construction of a long-awaited library officially gets underway under the Gammadda initiative.

Home to nearly 190 students, the school has struggled for years without a dedicated library. 

In the absence of a proper facility, students have been using a section of the teachers' quarters outside the school premises as a temporary library, with little space for reading or independent learning. 

Recognizing this need, Gammadda stepped in following a request made by the school principal to establish a dedicated library for the students.

The foundation stone for the new library will be laid today, marking the beginning of the construction project.

The project is being carried out with the generous support of Next Sourcing Limited. 

The Gammadda team is committed to completing the construction promptly and handing over the new library to the children in the near future, creating a lasting resource to support their education.
