CEO of Electricity Generation Lanka (Pvt) Ltd To Provide Evidence Before Presidential Commission Probing Coal Transactions

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Chief Executive Officer of Electricity Generation Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. Engineer Saliya Panditharatne, is scheduled to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into Coal Transactions today to provide evidence.

A Deputy Auditor General representing the Auditor General's Department is also expected to testify before the Commission.

The Commission is scheduled to convene at 1:00 p.m. today to continue recording evidence.

The Presidential Commission, headed by Supreme Court Justice Gihan Kulatunga, was appointed by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to investigate all coal transactions carried out in Sri Lanka.
