Accident in Nallathanniya Claims Two Lives, Injures Three Students

COLOMBO (News 1st): Two people have died and three school students have sustained injured after a three-wheeler overturned near the Mohini Ella Ravine in Nallathanniya.

The deceased have been identified as two residents of the Nallathanniya area, aged 46 and 26.

Police stated that the deceased had succumbed to their injuries after being admitted to the Maskeliya Divisional Hospital, with serious injuries.

According to Police, the accident occurred this morning while the three students, aged between 12 and 15, were being taken to school.

Later, the three injured students were transferred to the District Base Hospital in Dickoya, Hatton for further treatment, using the ambulance of the Agarapatana Divisional Hospital.
