COLOMBO (News 1st); The National Dengue Control Unit states that non-dengue patients currently receiving treatment at the IDH Hospital will be transferred to the Mulleriyawa Hospital.
The Acting Director, Dr. Kapila Kannangara, said that this decision has been taken to dedicate more time and attention to dengue patients receiving treatment at the IDH.
He further emphasized that the spread of dengue can only be controlled by eliminating mosquito breeding sites.
The total number of dengue cases reported this year has risen to 66,064.
The National Dengue Control Unit announced that 46 dengue related deaths have been reported so far.
