SDIG Varuna Jayasundara Leaves CID Following Statement in "Kehelbaddara Padme" Case

COLOMBO (News 1st): Senior Deputy Inspector General (SDIG) Varuna Jayasundara left the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) this afternoon following a lengthy session of questioning.

The SDIG had arrived at the department at 9:30 AM to provide a statement concerning an investigation into his alleged ties with the organized criminal figure known as "Kehelbaddara Padme." After approximately four hours of proceedings, he departed the CID at 1:45 PM.
