Over 1,000 Dengue Cases Reported In 24 Hours As Risk Escalates

COLOMBO (News 1st): Health authorities state that 1,030 dengue cases were reported over the past 24 hours.

The Acting Director of the National Dengue Control Unit, Dr. Kapila Kannangara, stated that the dengue risk continues to rise in several districts, including Gampaha and Galle.

In the past 24 hours, 318 cases were reported from the Gampaha district alone in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the National Dengue Control Unit has decided to provide information regarding dengue patients to Grama Niladhari officers and community committees with the aim of continuously cleaning areas where patients reside, based on the information provided.
