Special Transport Services Begin For Vesak Festival

COLOMBO (News 1st); Special transport services have commenced for the public traveling to their hometowns for the Vesak festival.

The National Transport Commission stated that buses are operating for the Vesak festival in accordance with the New Year timetable.

Accordingly, the Transport Commission said that these buses have been deployed from Colombo Fort, covering all provinces.

The Sri Lanka Transport Board has also organized special transport services for people heading to their hometowns for the Vesak festival.

Its Chairman, Sajeewa Kanakarathna, mentioned that transport services have been organized in several areas, including Colombo, centering around the Vesak zones.

Meanwhile, the Railway Department stated that several special train trips are also operational for the Vesak festival.
