Two Killed, One Injured in Ampara Tipper–Three-Wheeler Collision; Pedestrian Killed in Kosgoda Accident

COLOMBO (News 1st): Two young men were killed and another was injured when a truck collided with a three-wheeler near the Tractor Junction in Ampara.

One of the youths died at the scene of the accident, while the other passed away after being admitted to the Ampara Hospital.

The other injured person is currently receiving treatment at the Ampara Hospital.

Victims' Identity: The deceased are two young men, aged 23 and 24, who were residents of the Dadayantalawa and Navagampura areas.

The driver of the truck has been arrested in connection with the accident.

Meanwhile, a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle traveling towards Galle near the Yalegama Junction in Kosgoda on the Galle-Colombo main road.

Police stated that the pedestrian, who sustained critical injuries in the crash, was already deceased by the time he was admitted to the Balapitiya Hospital.

The identity of the deceased individual has not yet been confirmed.
