53 Calls Between Mujibur Rahman and Jailed Drug Dealer

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has recorded a statement from Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Parliamentarian Mujibur Rahman after investigators uncovered that 53 phone calls had been exchanged between him and a jailed drug trafficking suspect.

The development emerged during an ongoing investigation, following the discovery of a mobile phone in the possession of the prison inmate linked to narcotics trafficking.

Authorities said the call records were identified during a detailed examination of the device.
