Passengers Urged to Arrive Early Amid Flooded Routes to BIA

COLOMBO (News 1st); Passengers travelling to Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake have been advised to arrive well in advance of their departure times, in view of the prevailing adverse weather conditions.

In a notice issued by airport authorities, passengers were urged to plan their travel early due to disruptions caused by heavy rainfall. 

It was noted that several sections of the road from Minuwangoda to Katunayake have been inundated.

As an alternative, passengers have been requested to use the expressway when travelling to the airport in order to avoid delays and ensure timely arrival for flights.
