COLOMBO (News 1st);The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has introduced a new online system for the public to lodge complaints against commercial banks and other financial institutions.
According to the Central Bank, this digital platform allows consumers to submit their grievances at any time convenient to them, regarding any financial institution regulated by the CBSL.
Through this portal, users can also directly track the real-time status and progress of their complaints.
The Central Bank highlighted that by minimizing the use of paperwork, the system eliminates administrative delays, ensuring a more efficient and timely resolution process.
However, authorities have outlined a specific procedure for consumers.
Individuals must first submit their complaints directly to the respective bank or financial institution involved.
The Central Bank online system should only be utilized if the institution fails to resolve the issue, or if the customer is dissatisfied with their final response.
To maintain the efficiency of this platform, the Central Bank urges the public to ensure that all information provided is accurate, clear, and complete and to upload all relevant supporting documents as attachments.
The public can access the new Complaint Management System by visiting www.reachus.cbsl.lk.
