Over 62.64% Qualify for University Admission as 2025 A/L Results Are Released

COLOMBO (News 1st): The results of the 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination were released last night.

The Department of Examinations stated that candidates can check their results by visiting the official websites: www.doenets.lk or www.results.exams.gov.lk.

According to the Department, 62.64% of the candidates who sat for the exam have qualified for university entrance. This group includes 146,405 school candidates and 30,122 private candidates.

The Department further announced that online applications for the re-correction of results will be accepted from the 6th to the 22nd of April. 

A total of 281,810 candidates sat for the 2025 Advanced Level Examination. 

Among them, 221,413 were school applicants, while the number of private candidates stood at 60,397.
