An Indian ship carrying 20,000 metric tons of diesel and 18,000 metric tons of petrol is scheduled to arrive at the Colombo Port today.
The shipment follows a recent diplomatic telephone conversation between President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Indian PM Narendra Modi, aimed at addressing fuel supply concerns.
Officials said high-level engagements between India and Sri Lanka helped expedite the process, with Indian Oil Corporation dispatching the fuel shipment to Lanka IOC.
