Vehicle Parking Fees in Colombo Reinstated from Today

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Colombo Municipal Commissioner Palitha Nanayakkara says that vehicle parking fees will resume in Colombo starting today.

He explained that parking charges were suspended from the 18th of March due to long vehicle queues near fuel stations and surrounding areas.

However, he noted that queues near filling stations have significantly reduced following the introduction of the QR-based fuel distribution system.

Accordingly, Commissioner said that parking fees have been reinstated as usual from 6:00 a.m. today.
