Navy Arrests Five Suspects, Seizes Fishing Vessel With Drugs Off Dondra

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Navy has arrested five suspects along with a local multi-day fishing vessel that was reportedly transporting a stash of drugs in the deep seas south of Dondra.

The operation was carried out by Sri Lanka Navy’s Long Distance Naval Fleet in collaboration with the Department of Coast Guard and the Sri Lanka Police.

The arrested vessel and suspects are being brought ashore for further investigations and legal proceedings.
