COLOMBO (News 1st) - Cabinet Spokesperson and Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa urged the public to understand the prevailing global situation and extend their support to help the government manage the fuel distribution process within the country.
He emphasized that strict action will be taken against any individual attempting to disrupt the peaceful and seamless distribution of fuel to the public.
Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa stated that while many countries have adopted different measures to manage fuel distribution and consumption, the Sri Lankan government must ensure that any steps taken do not harm the country’s developing economy.
He noted that while the government continues to implement necessary plans, both the government and the public must remain mindful of the potential impact such measures could have on the country’s current economic stability.
Therefore, he urged the public to extend their fullest support for the reimplementation of the National Fuel Pass QR code system.
