Heat Advisory Issued for Several Provinces; Thundershowers Expected Tomorrow

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Meteorology has issued a heat advisory, warning that the heat index, the temperature felt on human body will remain at cautious level today across several regions.

Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and North-Western and Monaragala, Mannarar, Anuradhapura, and Vavuniya Districts have been issued with heat advisories. 

However, Despite the heat forecast, the MET Department announced showers or thundershowers are likely to occur in several areas tomorrow after 2:00 PM in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western, and Uva provinces and Galle, Matara, Mannar, and Anuradhapura Districts
