COLOMBO (News 1st) - The prevailing dry weather conditions have led to a significant surge in the demand for drinking water across the island.
Minister of Housing and Water Supply, Susil Ranasinghe, says that the highest increase in demand has been recorded in the Colombo District.
He warned that the spike could potentially lead to disruptions in the regular water supply.
Accordingly, a Special Management Program has been established to ensure the uninterrupted supply of water to the public.
