COLOMBO (News 1st); Litro Gas Lanka announced that 3,700 metric tonnes of LP gas will be released to the local market today.
Litro Chairman Channa Gunawardena stated that a total of 7,900 metric tonnes of gas has been brought into the country in recent times.
He added that for the month of March, 38,000 metric tonnes of gas have been requested, while an additional 30,000 metric tonnes currently remain stored in the Maldives.
Gunawardena further said that another vessel carrying 33,000 metric tonnes of gas, also applied for, is scheduled to arrive in the Maldives on March 17.
Meanwhile, Laugfs Gas CEO Nalinda Kurukulasuriya said the company is currently distributing the 3,700 metric tonnes of gas brought in by the vessel that arrived on the island recently.
