Special Emergency Response Unit Established for Overseas Employees and Tourists

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A special Emergency Response Unit has been established at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism to ensure the safety of migrant workers and tourists, and to provide them with necessary assistance.

The unit is set up specifically in response to the ongoing tensions and volatile situation in the Middle East region.
