Galle High Court Remands Wife of Notorious Trafficker in Assets Probe

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Illegal Assets Investigation Division has arrested the wife of Sanjaya Vidana Pathirana, a drug trafficker based in Galle.

According to Police, the arrest follows the recent seizure of several vehicles suspected to have been acquired through drug trafficking proceeds. The suspect, who had been abroad, was apprehended upon her return to the island yesterday while attempting to reclaim the seized vehicles through legal channels.

After being produced before the Galle High Court, she was ordered to be remanded in custody until the 12th.
