COLOMBO (News 1st); Zimbabwe delivered a clinical all‑round performance to crush Oman by 8 wickets, chasing down 104 with 39 balls to spare in their Group B clash at the SSC, Colombo.

Oman were bundled out for 103 in 19.5 overs, undone by Zimbabwe’s fiery pace trio.

Blessing Muzarabani (3/16), Richard Ngarava (3/17), and Brad Evans (3/18) ripped through the batting lineup, reducing Oman to 17/4 inside four overs.

A fighting 28 from Vinayak Shukla and 25 from Sufyan Mehmood lifted them past 100, but it was nowhere near enough.

Zimbabwe lost two early wickets, but Brian Bennett’s unbeaten 48 off 36 and Brendan Taylor’s 31 (retired hurt) ensured a smooth chase, finishing the job in just 13.3 overs.

Captain Sikandar Raza hit the winning runs.
