Postal Charges Revised From Today (09)

COLOMBO (News 1st): Local postal charges have been revised with effect from today.

Accordingly, the minimum postage rate of Rs. 50 will be increased to Rs. 70.

The basic weight category for ordinary and business letter services has been revised from 20g to 30g.

In addition, the Department says that charges for the distribution of promotional leaflets have been categorized based on whether the delivery is within the Local Delivery Zone or to an External Delivery Zone.

While, the maximum weight allowed for a single leaflet or a set of leaflets has been increased from 100g to 120g.
