Local Postal Rates Revised Starting Tomorrow

COLOMBO (News1st): The Department of Posts has announced a revision of local postal charges, effective from tomorrow.

According to the department, the minimum postage stamp fee, which was previously Rs. 50.00, will increase to Rs. 70.00.

Additionally, the base weight category for ordinary and business letter services, has been revised from 20g up to 30g.

The delivery fee structure for promotional leaflets has been categorized into two tiers as within the Delivery Zone and Outside the Delivery Zone.

The maximum weight allowed for a single leaflet or a set of leaflets has been increased from 100g to 120g.
