Over 9,000 Sri Lanka Army Personnel Promoted for 78th Independence Day

The Sri Lanka Army has announced more than 9000 officers have been promoted in a major round of appointments, in line with the 78th Independence Day celebrations.
Accordingly, 9,158 soldiers were promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal, while 2,339 Lance Corporals were elevated to the rank of Corporal.
