Suspect Arrested for Concealing Murder Weapon in Fatal Jinthupitiya Shooting Case

COLOMBO (News 1st); A suspect has been arrested for aiding and abetting the disposal and concealment of the firearm used in the fatal shooting of an individual in Jinthupitiya, Colombo.

The police stated that a three-wheeler in the suspect's possession was also taken into custody. The arrested individual is a 63-year-old resident of Colombo 13. He is scheduled to be produced before the Hulftsdorp Chief Magistrate's Court today.

The shooting occurred on January 16th, when two individuals arriving in a three-wheeler opened fire in Jinthupitiya, resulting in one death and injuries to two children. Six suspects have already been arrested in connection with this incident.
