Bus Conductor Arrested with Multi‑Drug Haul

COLOMBO (News 1st); A conductor transporting a stock of various narcotics in a passenger bus has been arrested in the Maradamunai area in Ampara.

Police stated that the conductor was taken into custody while traveling on a bus operating from Colombo to Samanthurai.

In his possession, officers recovered 15.6 grams of heroin, 73. grams of ICE, 34.49 grams of Kerala cannabis, and 94.56 grams of hashish.

The arrested suspect is a 49‑year‑old resident of Akkaraipattu.
