Tragedy in Weligama: One Dead, One Injured by Illegal Power Line

COLOMBO (New 1st); A 66-year-old resident of Weligama has died after coming into contact with an illegal power line.

Police reports indicate that another individual sustained injuries during the incident.

The accident occurred while the victim and his son were heading to tether cattle and encountered an unauthorized electrical wire drawn across a plot of land.

Police have launched an investigation to apprehend the suspect responsible for installing the illegal line.
