Showery Conditions to Ease from Dec. 20

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Department of Meteorology says that a decrease in the showery conditions at present is expected starting, 20th December. 

The prevailing rainy conditions in the Northern and Eastern provinces are expected to continue today, with intermittent showers likely in the North Central, Eastern, Uva, and Central provinces.

Heavy rains exceeding 100 mm may occur in some areas within the Eastern, Uva, and Central provinces, as well as the Polonnaruwa district. 

Scattered showers or thundershowers are expected after 1:00 PM elsewhere on the island.
