US-Made Firearm Seized in Makola, SLPP member, Ex-Councillor Among the Suspects Arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st): Four suspects have been arrested with a foreign-made firearm in the Sapugaskanda, Makola area.

According to Police a 9mm, US-made firearm was taken into custody.

Police says that among the suspects are a member of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and a former member of the Biyagama Pradeshiya Sabha.

The suspects are scheduled to be produced before the Mahara Magistrate today.
