Mother of Three Nabbed in Colombo with Heroin

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police have arrested a woman allegedly connected to notorious drug trafficker Badowita Asanka.

The suspect, a mother of three from Badovita, was taken into custody in the coastal suburb of Mount Lavinia with six grams of heroin in her possession.

Authorities revealed that her three-year-old child was also found at the scene and has since been placed under police care.

Investigations suggest the woman was actively involved in distributing heroin across Mirihana and Delkanda—two areas recently flagged for rising drug activity.

Police further confirmed that her husband is currently serving time in prison.
