Associate of Overseas Drug Trafficker 'Tammita Avishka' Arrested in Gampaha

COLOMBO (News1st) - Police Special Task Force (STF) officers have arrested a suspect in Gampaha who is alleged to be operating a local drug network linked to organized criminal and drug trafficker 'Tammita Avishka', who is currently residing abroad.

According to the STF, 13 grams and 170 milligrams of ICE (crystal methamphetamine) were found in the suspect’s possession.

Investigations have revealed that the suspect had on several occasions transported firearms used in organized criminal activities under the instructions of Kehelbaddara Padme and Tammita Avishka.

Police further stated that the suspect has been involved in illegal drug trafficking operations on behalf of the two organized criminals.
