COLOMBO (News 1st); The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the immediate establishment of four new High Court premises in Colombo.
The decision was made to strengthen the judicial infrastructure aligned with Sri Lanka’s Anti-Corruption National Action Plan (2025–2029).
The Cabinet granted its concurrence to a proposal presented by the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Governments, allowing the transfer of four government-owned buildings to the Ministry of Justice for this purpose.
The buildings are located at:
No. B 88, Gregory Road, Colombo 07
No. C 76, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 07
No. B 108, Wijerama Road, Colombo 07
No. B 12, Stanmore Crescent, Colombo 07
These premises, currently under the purview of the Ministry of Public Administration, will be repurposed to house the new High Courts.
