Sri Lanka Joins Russian Energy Week

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka is participating in the Russian Energy Week, which officially commenced today in Moscow, marking a significant engagement in global energy dialogue. 

Representing the country are Minister of Power and Energy Kumara Jayakody and the Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, who will attend key sessions and discussions during the event.

The summit, running from October 15 to 17, brings together global energy leaders to explore strategies for energy security, sustainability, and technological innovation. 

According to the Ministry of Power and Energy, Minister Jayakody is scheduled to hold a high-level meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia during the visit, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
