15,000 Empty T-56 Shell Casings Found in Thambuttegama

COLOMBO (News 1st); A stockpile of approximately 15,000 empty T-56 shell casings has been discovered in the Mudunegama area of Thambuttegama, following an investigation prompted by a tip-off received by local authorities.

The discovery was made during a targeted search operation, and police suspect that the casings may have been transported and dumped at the location by an unidentified group.

Sri Lanka Police has launched a full-scale investigation into the incident.
