COLOMBO (News 1st); The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has agreed to provide support for the development of local airports in the country.
This agreement was reached during discussions between the Sri Lankan delegation and the ICAO Secretary-General, held on the sidelines of the organization's 42nd Triennial Assembly.
The assembly is currently taking place in Montreal, Canada, with the participation of representatives from 183 countries.
Sri Lanka is being represented at the assembly by a delegation that includes Deputy Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation Ruwan Kodithuwakku.
The Deputy Minister stated that the International Civil Aviation Organization also agreed to provide solutions to wildlife issues at the Mattala Airport.
