Rule of Law Is Restoring Global Trust in Sri Lanka : Speaker

COLOMBO (News 1st); Speaker of Parliament Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne has declared that Sri Lanka is now being recognized on the international stage as a country that has taken a firm stand against corruption and is actively upholding the rule of law.

Dr. Wickramaratne said he had conveyed to the diplomatic community that Sri Lanka is undergoing a transformative shift in governance.

“I informed the ambassadors that Sri Lanka is now a state where the rule of law is being implemented effectively, and where corruption is being confronted with maximum resolve,” he said.

According to the Speaker, the ambassadors responded with praise and commendation, acknowledging Sri Lanka’s efforts to restore integrity and transparency in public administration.
