COLOMBO (News 1st); A new Immigration and Emigration Office is set to open in Jaffna on September 1, according to Minister of Public Security Ananda Wijepala.
The initiative aims to improve access to passport services for residents of the Northern Province.
This expansion follows the successful establishment of immigration offices in Vavuniya, Matara, and Kurunegala, as part of the government’s broader effort to decentralize essential public services and enhance regional accessibility.
