Government Initiative to Boost Productivity of Small and Medium Enterprises

Colombo (News 1st); The Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development has launched a program aimed at enhancing the productivity of small and medium-scale entrepreneurs across Sri Lanka.

As part of this effort, the Ministry stated that Vidatha Resource Centers will play a key role in equipping entrepreneurs with advanced technological knowledge, helping them upgrade their production capacity.

The program is designed to support several crucial areas including technological exchange, market accessibility, and adherence to national production standards. 

The initiative will be implemented with the collaboration of the Sri Lanka Standards Institution and the Industrial Technology Institute, ensuring technical expertise and standard compliance.

Authorities emphasize that empowering local entrepreneurs through innovation and infrastructure is vital to strengthening the national economy and creating more employment opportunities at the grassroots level.
