Sirisena At CID Over Alleged Misuse of Presidential Fund

COLOMBO (News 1st); Former President Maithripala Sirisena appeared before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today for the second time in connection with the ongoing investigation into the alleged misuse of the Presidential Fund.

Sirisena's appearance at the CID was in response to a summons issued for him to provide a statement regarding the allegations.

The investigation centers on claims that funds from the Presidential Fund were misappropriated during his tenure.

On April 7th, Sirisena had previously visited the CID to provide a statement related to the same investigation.
