Colombo (News 1st): Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe has been summoned again to appear before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption on Friday, the 25th of April.
Although the former President, Ranil Wickremesinghe was summoned to appear before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption on the 17th of April he did not appear, citing his absence from Colombo as the reason.
The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption stated that a new date would be granted, subject to an inquiry into whether the reason provided for his absence was justifiable.
Meanwhile, Ranil Wickremesinghe stated today that, as his lawyer is currently overseas, he will request a date upon the lawyer’s return.
