Health Inspectors Deployed for Siri Dalada Wandanawa

COLOMBO (News 1st); In preparation for the Siri Dalada Wandanawa, or the Sacred Veneration Of The Tooth Relic Of Lord Buddha, special health measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of the devotees arriving in Kandy. 

The Public Health Inspectors' Association has announced that approximately 50 public health inspectors will be deployed daily to oversee these measures.

According to the statement released by the association, all food establishments in the city will be inspected by public health inspectors to ensure maximum food safety. 

Additionally, all alms centers (dansals) must be registered with the Kandy Municipal Council's Health Department.

To further safeguard the health of the devotees, a 24-hour water supply system will be operational, with the water being tested every hour.
