Two Arrested with Illegal Foreign-Made Firearms

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police arrested two suspects in the Ududulgala and Gantuna areas for the possession of two illegal 12-bore firearms manufactured in a foreign country.

The operation was carried out based on intelligence received by the Bulathkohupitiya police.

The serial numbers on the seized firearms had been erased, raising concerns about their potential use in illegal activities.

The police have launched an investigation to determine whether these firearms were used in any criminal activities.

The suspects are scheduled to be presented before the Kegalle and Ruwanwella Magistrate's Courts today.
