COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police said that the findings of the investigation into a house in Kataragama, allegedly linked to the Rajapaksa family, will be referred to the Attorney General.
The next steps will be determined based on the Attorney General's directives.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has recorded statements from Dishan Gunasekara, the Basnayake Nilame of the Kataragama Devalaya, and Venerable Kobowaka Dhamminda Thero, the Chief Incumbent of the Kirivehera Raja Maha Viharaya, regarding the property.
Additionally, statements have been taken from various state and local government officials, including the Kataragama Divisional Secretary, who were involved in granting permissions for the construction of the house.
All collected statements will be forwarded to the Attorney General's Department for further action.
