COLOMBO (News 1st); Do you remember the breakout single "Big Dawgs" that took the internet by storm last summer?
Kerala-born, Houston-raised rapper Hanumankind is back with another explosive track, "Run It Up."
Produced by Kalmi, the mastermind behind "Big Dawgs," this new single features the chenda, a traditional Keralan drum, which intensifies throughout the song alongside Hanumankind's percussive raps.
Touching on themes of legacy, adversity, and motivation, "Run It Up" acts as a battle cry, with Hanumankind weaving between the beats to break free from them entirely.
Reuniting with director Bijoy Shetty, "Run It Up" arrives with a music video that is nothing short of a masterclass in cultural storytelling.
The new single comes on the heels of Hanumankind's debut Coachella appearance, where the South Indian rapper will perform for U.S. audiences for the very first time.
