Key Figure in Kotahena Shooting Arrested by Police

COLOMBO (News 1st); Another suspect has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of an individual in Kotahena. 

The arrest was made by the Colombo North Division Crime Investigation Unit in the Methsanda Sevana area in Mutuwal.

Police reported that the suspect is closely associated with an organized criminal and drug trafficker currently hiding in a foreign country. 

Investigations revealed that this suspect had transported the main suspects involved in the Kotahena shooting to a house in Kosgashandiya, after picking them up in a three-wheeler from Colombo Fort, and thereafter handed them the firearms and ammunition to commit the crime.

Additionally, police stated that the same individual had provided the firearm used in another shooting incident in Kotahena on the 10th of this month.
