COLOMBO (News 1st); Deputy Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic Resources, and Oceanic Affairs, Ratna Gamage, has reaffirmed the government's commitment to ensuring the safety of all citizens in the country.
Addressing recent concerns, Deputy Minister Gamage stated, "The government is fully committed to safeguarding the security of all citizens. We have taken special notice of the murders carried out by organized crime gangs and are addressing these issues with the utmost seriousness."
He also commented on the recent activities of MP Namal Rajapaksa, who has been visiting various areas. "I remember during the Easter attacks, his uncle came forward saying they were ready to take over the country. Now, amidst reports of organized crime gangs, the nephew is saying the same. People are questioning the connection and the underlying motives," he remarked.
Gamage emphasized that the government is taking all necessary measures to ensure that these criminal activities do not impact national security. "We are working diligently to protect the safety of all institutions and citizens. The government is fully dedicated to this cause," he assured.
