Police Seize 123 Live Ammunition Rounds from Colombo-Badulla Bus in Bandarawela

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Police seized 123 live ammunition rounds from a Colombo-Badulla bus, in Bandarawela.

The live ammunition rounds were seized during a search operation conducted based on a tip-off received by the Police.

The stock of ammunition rounds were found in a concealed metal box that was inside a luggage that was stored inside the luggage compartment.

The bus was travelling from Colombo to Badulla.

The police confirmed that the stock included 113 pistol magazines and 09 T56 magazines.

Further investigations to apprehend the suspect are underway.
